Simmons Park |

Situated on the Esplanade in Lindisfarne Bay on the Clarence foreshore trail, with good parking.

The playground is part of a large park with beautiful landscaping and views of Kunanyi over Lindisfarne Bay.

The playground is in a fenced area with a variety of equipment for all ages, from toddlers to teenagers, including an awesome climbing frame & slide.

There is an outdoor gym plus a seniors exercise area, wide accessible paths and a dedicated accessible swing.

Several BBQs (inside and outside fenced area) with covered tables & seating. Toilets are up to 100m from the playground area.

I have used this park for many years, and it just keeps getting better. Ideal for kids & adults for a birthday party, day out or picnic!

Simmons Park is named after Matthew Simmons of the Beltana Land Company, who purchased the area for subdivision in 1890. The park recognises his role in developing the area.  Lindisfarne was named in 1903 after Lindisfarne House, an 1820s property in the area, named after the Holy Island in Northumberland.
