Montagu Bay Reserve |

Situated next to the Montagu Bay Primary School. If you are coming from the western shore (Hobart), cross the bridge and veer left to Lindisfarne, turn first left at Yolla St, left at Topham, left at Conara, and right at Rosny Esplanade; otherwise, via Riawena Road off Rosny Hill Road.

The playground is part of a beautifully maintained reserve that consists of a small playground designed for smaller kids and a twin BBQ with seating. Great views of the River Derwent and Kunanyi over the bay. Toilets are about 100m away.

Dogs are allowed but must be on leash within 10m of the playground.

Next to the park, the school has another two playgrounds, a basketball and netball court, and a bike pump track for small kids on the school oval. Also, an interesting art installation highlighting the Tasmanian Bridge disaster in 1975 is near the toilets.

Montagu Bay is named after Algernon Montagu (1802–1880), an early Tasmanian Attorney General who established a property known as Montagu House.
