Montagu Bay Reserve | Next to the Montagu Bay Primary School. If you are coming from the western shore (Hobart), cross the bridge and veer left to Lindisfarne, turn first left at Yolla St, left at Topham, left at Conara, and right at Rosny Esplanade, and if you’re not lost, you should be there! Otherwise, via Riawena Road off Rosny Hill Road. Situated on the Clarence Foreshore Trail.

The playground is part of a reserve that includes a small playground designed for smaller kids and a twin BBQ with seating, great for a family picnic.

Great views of the River Derwent and Kunanyi over the bay. Toilets are about 100m away. An interesting art installation of the Tasmanian Bridge disaster is near the toilets. Dogs are allowed but must be on leash within 10m of the playground.

Next to the park, the school has another playground, basketball court, netball court, and a bike pump track for small kids on the school oval.

Montagu Bay is named after Algernon Montagu (1802–1880), an early Tasmanian Attorney General who established a property known as Montagu House.
