The Dodges Ferry Boat Park is in south-east Tasmania, about 40 klms (40 minutes) from Hobart and next to Tiger Head Beach – a small and picturesque beach with a boat ramp.

A popular, well-equipped playground for various ages with a nautical theme and BBQs. Includes a 300-metre bike\scooter track, swings, and a 5.8-metre climbing maze.

Not far from shops including great fish & chips. Although a little way from Hobart, this is a great park for a picnic, birthday, BBQ or outing in a scenic location.

Dodges Ferry gets its name from Ralph Dodge, a settler who operated a local boat and ferry service across the estuary in the 1820s. The Boat Park is where he operated his ferries from.
