Situated between Bellerive and Rosny in Kangaroo Bay on the Eastern Shore of Hobart. The park overlooks Kangaroo Bay with good views of Kunanyi & the River Derwent. The area consists of a playground, a large oval, and a nearby Skatepark. Situated on the Clarence Foreshore Trail and home to the Tasmanian Produce Market on Saturdays from 9 am to 1 pm (does not interfere with the playground).

The playground is designed for younger kids with a nautical theme that includes climbing nets, a see-saw, and swinging boats.

There is a basketball ring, crazy mirrors, and a table-tennis table (not sure how that would work in a breeze, & bring your own bat and ball).

Also check out the giant Kangaroo. The BBQs, seating, and amenities are well laid out and ideal for a get-together for all ages (including good accessible access).

The name Kangaroo originates from the Aboriginal name gangurru. The area was named because of the large number first sighted by early settlers in the 1800s.
